Angie Vienne is a leading Women’s Health Physiotherapist, specialising in pelvic floor dysfunction, persistent pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction.

Angie’s interest in Women’s Health began early in her career, leading her down the path of further postgraduate study to attain her Masters in Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapy.

During this time, Angie was appointed Senior Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapist at the Mater Mother’s Hospital, in South Brisbane. This tertiary centre is the biggest maternity hospital in the Southern Hemisphere, boasting over 10,000 births per year. Angie’s role here as Obstetrics Clinical Lead involved heading the Perineal Clinic for Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury, the Moondara Clinic for Paediatric Continence, and the Urogynaecology clinics for Continence and Prolapse surgery.

Angie later joined the vibrant team of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians at Eve Health in Brisbane, the largest provider of private gynaecology services in Queensland. Working alongside some of the best specialists in their field, with access to state-of-the-art equipment, Angie was able to provide an exceptional standard of care for her patients, and experience the many benefits of an intimate and collaborative multidisciplinary approach to patient management.

After many years practicing in hospitals and medical practices under a biomedical model of care, she quickly learned the deep importance of a holistic means of practice, knowledge and individualised care for women.

Echoing her passion for the yogic lifestyle, Angie furthered her repertoire in alternative therapies to become a teacher in both yoga and meditation. She now weaves these practices into her treatments to help reignite inner vitality and vibrancy in her patient’s lives.

Angie is dedicated to delivering a high quality service to her patients and has a special interest in the areas of obstetrics, pelvic floor dysfunction, endometriosis, persistent pelvic pain, meditation and yoga for pain.

Angie understands that every woman’s story is unique, and is therefore dedicated to investing time in the individual woman, to identify and address all relevant contributing factors, promoting women to be in touch with their instincts, and make positive changes to their own health and well being.

With the intention of inspiring individuals to take responsibility for their health, she aims to build lasting daily rituals to give women a gentle boost to feel their best.

Angie is a passionate advocate for women’s health promotion, seeking out professional development opportunities to deliver the latest evidence-based-practice to her patients.

She has presented at conferences nationally, lectured in continence at Australian Catholic University, and is an Academic supervisor with Curtin University for Physiotherapists undertaking their post-graduate training in Continence and Women’s Health.
